ZEN JUMP START
The Zen Center of Orange County is offering a Zen Jump Start
program. The program runs from Tuesday, June 7, through Sunday, July
17. It includes six Tuesday sessions at the Center and an all-day
Sunday retreat. The sessions include group and individual instruction
as well as study of classical and contemporary Zen literature. As
part of the program, participants will receive a Zafu (sitting
cushion) and the Zen Jump Start Manual. Classes are held at the

Fairview Community Church s having a book study, starting the
first Wednesday in May, studying the book “So You Can’t Stand
Evangelism, A Thinking Man’s Guide To Church Growth” by James R

CAPPELLA CANTORUM
Cappella Cantorum, the young adult choir of St. John Vianney
Chapel, is beginning its fifth year. The choir is open to students in
grades six through 12. It provides active faith participation for
teens during their high school years. Participation includes singing
at mass regularly and at special events. Rehearsals are from 11 a.m.
to 1 p.m. Saturdays in the Chapel at 314 Marine Ave., Balboa Island.

BAHAI FIRESIDES
Members of the Bahai faith hold informal public discussions on
spiritual topics at 11:30 a.m. the last Sunday of the month. The

A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
A 26-lesson study on the life of Jesus Christ titled “Journey to

MEDITATION LESSONS
A free lectio divina meditation group meeting is held at 7:10 a.m.

Beach. Lectio is a style of meditation that includes using scripture
or a special reading as a stimulus. The Christian Meditation Group
