Tiffany & Co. at South Coast Plaza is celebrating Paloma Picasso’s
25th anniversary as a Tiffany designer, with an exclusive exhibit of
her masterpieces starting Friday and running through June 26.
The centerpiece of “Perfectly Paloma” is an exquisite necklace
that defines her influence on modern jewelry. The necklace features a
28.94-carat tanzanite, accentuated by an assortment of colorful
gemstones including pink and green tourmalines, mandarin garnet,
aquamarine, rubellite and yellow beryl.
Picasso’s fans will delight in viewing an assortment of her iconic
designs featuring “graffiti” shapes and “grooves,” or creations of
circles, spheres, cylinders and parallel lines.

HELLO AGAIN
Tacone at Fashion Island celebrates its grand reopening after
relocating within Atrium Court. Customers who spend $7.50 or more
this Friday and Saturday can receive a menu item free.
Tacone serves freshly prepared, gourmet wrapped sandwiches; tossed
salads; fruit smoothies; and side dishes, including its famous sweet
potato fries. Tacone takes international foods and wraps them in
tortillas, creating gourmet wraps, salad wraps and vegetarian and
low-fat wraps.
A few popular wraps include the Malibu Melt, with grilled or fried
chicken breast, melted Swiss cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce and
honey mustard; the Pilgrim, with fresh roasted turkey, avocado,
tomato, jack cheese and romaine lettuce with a ranch vinaigrette; and
the Chinatown, with Chinese chicken salad with a sesame ginger
dressing topped with sliced cucumbers, scallions, crispy won ton
noodles and mandarin oranges.
Tacone also prepares gourmet grilled sandwiches, including the
Chick-a-Boom, Great Gobbler, United Steak of America and
Va-Va-Veggie. Tacone offers catering, perfect for parties, office

This Saturday, The Closet at Fashion Island hosts a book signing
for “Lords of Dogtown,” along with an Aqua VI launch party from 4 to
7 p.m. You can meet some of the original Z Boys and members of the
cast from “The Lords of Dogtown,” including Original Z Boy Tony Alva,
Zephyr Team creator Skip Engblom, Dogtown artist and skater Jim “Red
Dog” Muir, and actress Nikki Reed. The movie opens June 3.
Costa Mesa-based Aqua VI is a popular collection of men’s and
women’s denim and casual wear. Customers can receive a free “Lords of
Dogtown” book with Aqua VI purchases of $60 or more.
The Closet carries a blend of action, contemporary and street
“California couture” sportswear for men and women.

The Lab.
