SAILING CLASSES
A Marine Radio Operator’s Permit class is being offered by the
Orange Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship. The course
will meet May 26 from 1 to 5:30 p.m., and the permit exam will be
administered at 5:45 p.m. at OCC’s Sailing Center, 1801 West Pacific
Coast Highway, Newport Beach. Cost of the class is $75; fee for the

“All About Anchoring,” a three-hour lecture that looks at
anchoring, is being offered by the Orange Coast College School of
Sailing and Seamnaship. The seminar is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m.
May 20 at OCC’s Sailing Center, 1801 W. Coast Highway, Newport Beach.

A Varnishing workshop is being offered by the Orange Coast College
School of Sailing and Seamanship. Course instructor Erica Christian
will offer tips for effectively tackling one of the most frustrating
of all marine maintenance projects. The session is scheduled from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 21 at
OCC’s Sailing Center, 1801 W. Coast Highway, Newport Beach.
