The Laguna Beach Junior Tennis 14-and-under advanced team enjoyed a
satisfying victory as it defeated a strong Heritage Park No. 4 squad,

Park.
Thurston Middle School students Benito Romeo and Natasha Boulad
displayed confidence and good match strategy tactics in winning their
sets by identical 6-3 and 6-2 scores.
Natasha Azera and Alison Azera combined to outplay their Heritage
Park opponents, 6-1.
In boys’ singles play, Andrew Shapero and Fareed Ahmed each went
down by scores of 6-1. In doubles play, the Laguna duo of Alex Gromet
and Burc Gundogar was defeated by a 6-2 score.
In 12-and-under action, Laguna’s intermediate team fell to
visiting University Park, 45-27. Laguna was forced to default two
matches in the loss.
Highlights in the setback included boys’ players Brian Vail and
Teague Hamilton each winning, 6-2, and in doubles play, Hamilton
teamed with his sister, Kira, to win a thrilling set, 6-5, 7-5 in the
