Police identify man found dead on parking garage
Police on Thursday identified an Irvine man found dead at the top of
a Newport Beach parking structure Wednesday.
Police believe that Irvine resident Warren Christopher Sellers,
21, either jumped or fell from an adjacent, 16-story hotel. He was
found on the sixth-floor roof of the parking structure in the 900
Block of Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach police Lt. Steve Shulman
said.
Witnesses saw the man go inside the hotel, he said. No suicide
note was found, but police still do not think foul play was to blame
for his death, Shulman said.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but the man was not
a worker or a guest, he said.
His death is still under investigation by Newport Beach Police.
