UCI Extension will

host business seminar

UC Irvine Extension will host a “Business Case Development”

seminar with panelists from The Capital Group; Conexant Systems Inc.;

and the Irvine Co. The event will be geared to business analysts and

other information technology professionals with analytical tasks.

The seminar will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 27 at the

Atrium Hotel, 18700 MacArthur Blvd. Attendance will cost $25. For

Irvine Co. executive

set to retire in July

The Irvine Co. announced Wednesday the retirement of Mike Ellis,

executive vice president of community development and construction at

the firm’s residential construction subsidiary, the Irvine Community

Development Co. Ellis’ retirement is slated to be effective July 1.

Ellis, 62, was first hired by the Irvine Co. in 1985. He left the

firm in 1994 and returned in 2000 in his current job.

Ken Coulter, 57, current senior vice president of community

development, has been selected as Ellis’ successor.

Ellis and his wife Judy plan to move to Missoula, Mont., where the

couple owns a home and a minor-league baseball team.

Real estate company has $11.7-million sale Steadfast Companies, a Newport Beach real estate development

company, announced the sale of three small office buildings for $11.7

million. The properties are part of the five-building Birch Bayview

Plaza business park near the Back Bay.
