The 16th annual Southern California Spring Garden Show welcomes
garden enthusiasts to view creative outdoor living spaces, dining
rooms and entertaining areas created by landscape architects,
designers and horticulture students. Purchase unique items from more
than 75 garden lifestyle vendors and hear top experts share their
garden secrets and debut their garden books. Children will enjoy
viewing the miniature landscapes designed by children, making crafts
and watching animal shows. The event is being held at South Coast

The “World’s Largest Pet and

A benefit for Jim Pash, a founding member of the Surfaris, will
begin at 12:30 p.m. with entertainment from the Surfaris, Dick Dale
wit son Jimmy Dale, The Chantays, Slack Tone, Hunter Harvey, and the
Duo Tones. Event will be held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Newport Beach.

Crystal Cove Promenade will ‘host a spring celebration with
entertainment, special savings and family fun. Visitors will enjoy a
steel drum player, guitarist, and a balloon artist for children. In
addition, Trader Joes will host a barbecue and the Laguna Beach
Community Concert Band will perform adjacent to the store. The event
will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crystal Cove Promenade,
East Coast Highway and Crystal Heights Drive in Newport Beach.

Girl Scouts Go Skater: Ten
Junior Girl Scouts will be in helmets and wrist guards while
learning the basic skills of skateboarding. Through balance and
weight distribution, the girls will grow confident in their mental
and physical capabilities as they master the art of becoming a
skater. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Girl
Scout Service Center, 1620 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa.
A “Night in New Orleans,” a
gala evening where the Second Annual Jade Award presentations will
this year honor Dick and Ann Sim and Tom Nielsen, will be held at
6:30 p.m. at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242 Campus Dr., Irvine.

A FUNdraising event
benefiting the American Cancer Society will be held from 12 p.m.
to 4 p.m. at Sol Grill Restaurant, 110 McFadden Place, Newport Beach.
Join our team ‘Heather’s Helping Hands’ for a fantastic day in
Newport Beach to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This
day includes live entertainment by Don Covel, lots of food, wine
tasting, raffles, and a silent auction. Our friends at Sol Grill will
also be donating a large portion of their proceeds that day to the
cause. There is a $14 minimum donation per person required.

Earth Day Beach Clean-up event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 54th Street.
Come help eliminate plastic and trash on the beaches. This will be
