TONGUE-TWISTING TOYS
The locally owned Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat store celebrated its
10th anniversary by opening a store at Fashion Island. It’s the
family-run com- pany’s fourth and largest store.
The original store and its predecessor, the Toy Shop in Corona del
Mar, have been favorites of Newport Beach residents for more than 40
years. Ten years ago, owners Diane and Gary Naumann renamed the store
Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat, after the childhood tongue twister.
The Fashion Island store carries classic toys for girls and boys,
along with today’s most popular toys. In addition to its larger
selection of toys, this store features a new Rock-Ola jukebox, a
reproduction that will entertain shoppers of all ages.
At Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat, shoppers can choose from games,
Breyer horses, Brio trains and sets, Thomas trains and sets, Corolle
dolls and Ravensburger puzzles. There are also Madame Alexander
dolls, Kettler tricycles, Leap Frog learning toys, Steiff
collectibles and more.
The shop offers free gift wrapping and excellent customer service,
including free assembly of tricycles and wagons.

EYE OPENING
A new designer eyewear boutique, Eye Five just opened at the Lab
in Costa Mesa. It offers the latest in eyewear designs from Hurley,
Dita, Blinde Design, Penguin Original, Mosely Tribes, Spy Optics,
Paul Frank Optometrics and Persol.
“The vision of Eye Five is to offer an innovative and hands-on
eyewear store that is warm and inviting,” said owner Todd Moore, an
experienced eyewear and retail professional. “The open style format
invites individuals to explore mid to high-end sunglasses freely.”
Moore stocks some classics like Ray Ban, but leans toward
fashion-forward brands that are available only at specialty stores.
In mid-March, Eye Five will host an opening party and introduce new
eyewear lines.

Since 1924, Wilshire Fireplace has provided a premium selection of
