Every year, on the Sunday before St. Patrick’s Day, kilt wearers don

their best dress kilts and head to Muldoon’s Irish Pub in Newport

Beach for the annual “Sexiest Kilt Competition.”

There were 10 contestants this year, the competition’s third, and

each performed his own song or dance while wearing a kilt.

Renowned bagpiper Eric Rigler, who’s played on such movie

soundtracks as “Titanic,” “Braveheart,” and “Million Dollar Baby,”

introduced each contestant by playing the pipes as he made his way to

the stage.

Winners were chosen by a panel of female judges, including

actress, model and former Miss Ireland Olivia Tracey.

According to Muldoon’s manager Mary Murphy, the girls got a little

more than they expected when one of the contestants flashed them at

the very end of his routine.
