Devils lock down

The HB Devils came up with a big defensive push in their Norris

Division meeting with the Blue Diamonds, resulting in a 5-0 victory

at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Austin Raban recorded 21 saves to keep the Blue Diamonds off the

scoreboard.

The HB Devils’ scoring consisted of goals by Kyle Dubuque, Ryan

Piscotty, Kevin Johnson, Brandon Sizemore and Daniel Burkhardt.

In other Norris Division action:

Bruins 3, HB Devils 1

Manny Banuelos scored the eventual winning goal in the second

period, and Philip Pascarelli posted an insurance score in the third

period as the Bruins defeated the HB Devils.

The third period goal was the second of the match for Pascarelli,

who also scored in the first period. Troy Baljeu had 34 saves for the

Bruins.

Brandon Sizemore scored off a feed by Cody Sizemore, and Austin

Raban had 23 saves for the HB Devils.

In Adams Division action:

Sharks 8, Blackhawks 2

Brent Rivera scored a match-best five goals, including four

consecutive scores over a stretch of the second and third periods, to

lead the Sharks.

Samantha Springer also had multiple goals and Nolan Strout

finished with 22 saves.

Cooper Haar and Brandon Entwistle scored goals and Jonathan Cooper

had 31 saves for the Blackhawks.

HB Surf 6, Wings 1

Hector Tepayotl scored three goals to power the offense of the HB

Surf.

Other goals were scored by Cole Kennedy, Ian Gibbons and Carly

Illeck.
