‘Heart and Soul’ CHOC benefit
The “Heart and Soul” CHOC benefit will be from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
today at Tivoli Too!. Tickets are $100 and include dinner with wine,
donated by the Laguna Culinary Institute, and silent and live
auctions.
The emcee will be Laguna’s Pat Kollenda and the variety show will
star Men Alive, Gallimaufry, Roxanna Ward, Laguna Tunes and the Swing
Set. The money raised will benefit CHOC with a goal of raising

‘Art Escapes’ for seniors today
A new “Art Escapes” has been created for seniors 62 and older.
Today’s class is “Personalized Gift Wrapping Papers” from 9:30 to
11:30 a.m. at the Women’s Club, 286 St Ann’s Drive.
Cost is $7, including materials. Class size is limited. For

Laguna Outreach’s workshops today
Laguna Outreach Community Arts “Art Escapes” workshop will hold
its second class in a three-part watercolor series at 2 p.m. today,
continuing Feb. 25. “Making Watercolors Pop” is taught by well-known
artist and exhibitor, Jacquie Moffett. The class is suitable for all
artistic levels. Cost is $30, including materials, class size is

Community Art Project benefit
Community Art Project will hold a roaring ‘20s-themed fundraiser
and live art auction at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Wells Fargo Bank, 260
Ocean Ave. The art to be auctioned is available to be previewed at
the bank’s gallery up until the event.
Funds raised will help fund Community Art Project’s new program,
“Beauty Beyond Downtown,” which focuses on enhancing public art in
other areas of Laguna Beach. Tickets are $65 per person. For tickets

[seven-degrees] welcomes the public to it’s first ever “Wedding
Experience” from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Attendees are invited to experience firsthand the elements of

the staff wedding curator team.

Vanessa Rothe solo exhibit at Wendt
A Vanessa Rothe solo exhibit, featuring more than 20 new original
oils from Provence, Tuscany, Venice, the Riviera, Venice and Laguna
Beach will open with an artist reception 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday

Djangofest LA at Festival of Arts
Djangofest LA, a three-day festival celebrating the music and
spirit of Django Reinhardt will bring renowned musical ensembles from
around the globe to perform “Hot Gypsy Jazz” Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at
the Festival of Arts Forum Theater, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
Djangofest LA will feature performances by Angelo Debarre, John
Jorgenson Quintet, Robin Nolan Trio, Pearl Django, the Rhythm
Brothers, Hot Club of San Diego, Trio Gonzalo, Club Django and
Marcelo Damon and Nomad Jazz.
The festival will also feature workshops. Workshops are $50 and

Pacific Symphony benefit
Pacific Symphony “An Evening at the Academy Awards” benefit will
be at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at [seven-degrees]. Dress Hollywood glamour

true Hollywood night at the Oscars to raise money for the symphony’s
youth music education programs.

Festival’s artist application deadline

‘Voodoo’ at Ocean Avenue Brewery
Laguna-based ZUMA Press is exhibiting “Vivid Voodoo,” by
photojournalist Les Stone, a photographic display of Haiti’s religion
-- rituals, sacrifice, possession and love -- is at Ocean Avenue
Brewery, 237 Ocean Ave.
Stone, a ZUMA news photographer, has traveled to Haiti more than
30 times in 10 years. His work captures first-hand Haitian voodoo
ceremonies and practices.

‘Catechism’ extended
As a result of continued popular demand, the Laguna Playhouse, 606
