New city editor joins Coastline Pilot
The Coastline Pilot has hired veteran journalist Cindy Frazier to be
its new city editor.
Frazier has had a lengthy journalism career, serving as an editor
and reporter for various weekly newspapers in the Santa Monica and
coastal West Los Angeles areas for more than 18 years.
She has also freelanced for the L.A. Weekly, the Valley Edition of
the Los Angeles Times, and most recently was senior writer for an
online publication, surfsantamonica.com.
Frazier has won awards for investigative reporting, column writing
and spot news reporting.
Frazier has a literature degree from Bennington College in
Bennington, Vt., and a journalism degree from Cal State Northridge.
“Laguna Beach has always been one of my all-time favorite cities,
and I am thrilled to be working here,” Frazier said.
Frazier lives in Santa Monica with her partner of many years,
Sharon, who is an artist, and their cat.
“We hope to relocate to the Laguna area very soon,” Frazier said.
Frazier has also published poetry and fiction. A novelist, she has
completed one screenplay, and is working on a second.
