Financial Aid Fair
on campus today
The financial aid office at Orange Coast College is conducting a
Spring Financial Aid Fair today.
Financial aid information will be available for OCC students,
those from other schools, parents and members of the community.
Many of the financial aid partners who work with the students on
campus, along with off-campus partners such as Citibank, Wells Fargo,
Sallie Mae and Washington Mutual, will be present at the fair to help
answer questions and provide financial information.
The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in OCC’s Financial Aid
office, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. For more information, call

Scholarship deadline
is approaching
The deadline for scholarship applications for Orange Coast
College’s 2004-05 academic year is Feb. 25.
More than $250,000 in scholarships will be awarded, ranging from
$250 to $2,500 each.
Scholarships include a continuing student scholarship, which is
designed for students who plan to enroll next fall, and a
transferring student scholarship designed for students who have
already completed 42 units at any post-secondary institution, to
include at least 24 units at OCC.
Criteria used for the evaluation of applicants are grade-point
average, units completed, financial need, service and leadership,
employment, and personal and academic circumstances.
There also will be a career education scholarship, which is geared
toward OCC technology, music, visual arts, and consumer and allied
health students. The specialized scholarships are judged on
individual criteria.

Still time to sign up
for European Art Tour
The deadline to register for the Orange Coast College European Art
Tour is March 15. Fine Arts professor Donald Jennings will lead the
17-day tour, which runs from June 19 through July 5.
The summer trip will include stops in France, Switzerland and
Italy. There is also an optional five-day London extension.
The excursion will focus on arts, architecture, culture and
history. The cost is $4,295 and includes round-trip airfare, hotels,
continental breakfasts, seven dinners and more.

Pick up applications
for summer in April
Summer and fall applications for Orange Coast College will be
available April 1.
Four-, six- and eight-week summer sessions will begin June 20, and
the fall semester will begin Aug. 29. The summer class schedule will
be listed on the college’s website at
