Anthony and Jan Vitti of Newport Beach announce the engagement of

their daughter Kristen Vitti of Newport Beach to Anthony Medel of

Santa Barbara.

The bride-elect graduated from Corona del Mar High School and

University of Colorado at Boulder.

The future bridegroom, son of Stanley and Karen Medel of Santa

Barbara, graduated from San Marcos High School and Cal State Long

Beach.

An Aug. 20 wedding is planned at Laguna Beach Presbyterian Church

in Laguna Beach.

Brannon-Mahoney

Abigail Alayne Brannon of Peoria, Ill., and John Damon Mahoney of

Newport Beach exchanged vows at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel in

Puerto Rico on Jan. 9.

The bride is the daughter of James and Donna Brannon, both of

Peoria. She wore a white, satin, full-length gown. The maid of honor

was Sherry Stenehjem.

The bridegroom is the son of James Mahoney of Irvine and Jeanette

Mahoney of Sammamish, Wash. The best man was Ike Brannon.

The two plan to relocate to Los Angeles in July. The bride is an

attending physician at Kaiser Permanente in Springfield, Va. The

groom is orthopedic surgery department chief resident at George

Washington University.
