‘Art for Aids IV’ will be this Saturday

“Art for AIDS IV: An Evening with Cybill Shepherd” an event

benefiting AIDS Services Foundation Orange County and Laguna Art

Museum will be Saturday, in the pacific Ballroom, at the St. Regis

Monarch Beach Resort and Spa in Dana Point.

Shepherd will take center stage in the role of the evening’s

celebrity guest and performer. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m.

with cocktails, a dinner buffet and a silent auction of artwork and

donated celebrity items. The live auction will start at 8:30 p.m.

followed by Shepherd’s performance and a live band.

Tickets are $285, $500 or $1,000. Sponsorships are $10,000 and

No Square Theatre winter concert today and Saturday

No Square Theatre will present “All Together Now: Broadway’s

Greatest Group Numbers,” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday.

“All Together Now” will be Adam Hemming’s last show in Laguna.

Hemming has been with No Square since its inception in 1997 and has

worn many hats from director to actor.

Hemming is one of the 30-plus members of the Gay Men’s Chorus of

San Diego, who will perform in the show.

The production will feature a plethora of other well-known

talents, including solo guest artist and Broadway star James Leo

Ryan, Bree Burgess Rosen, Linda Martin, Pat Kollenda, Michelle

Merlino, Carol Robinson, Sophia Tupy, Bill Morris and more.

“All Together Now: Broadway’s Greatest Group Numbers,” will be

performed at the Artists’ Theater, 625 park Ave. For information or

Surfrider Blue Water Festival Saturday

The Surfrider Foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary

locally with the “Blue Water Music Festival” at 2 p.m. Saturday on

the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road. The benefit

concert will feature live performances by Missiles of October, Common

Sense, World Anthem, Blues Offenders, Jason Feddy, Evren Ozan and

others. Triple platinum Just Jinger will close the show with a big

bang and legendary drum solo. A portion of the proceeds will go to

the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and Ocean Laguna Foundation. Tickets

are $100 for VIP and $50 general admission, both include a year

membership to Surfrider. Ocean-related art, environmental education,

surf films, a silent auction, vendor booths, food and drinks will be

First Sundays at Laguna College

Laguna College and Laguna Beach Live! will continue the tradition

of a free art exhibit and classical music concert from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Sunday.

Sierra Horn Quartet featuring four French Horns will perform. The

“Speculative Terrain” exhibit, a show of contemporary Southern

California landscape imagery, is open to the public.

Gallimaufry dance performances

Gallimaufry Performance Arts and the California Choreographers

Dance Festival are joining together for a Valentine’s musical revue,

“Duets,” and free dance classes.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 11 and 12. “Duets” features

songs of love, life and couple-hood with a cast of 20. Tickets for

“Duets” are $18 and $12 for seniors and students.

Classes will feature the tango, noon to 1:20 p.m. taught by Teresa

Shiry; the waltz by Shiry, 1:30 to 2:50 p.m.; salsa by Jay Byam, 3 to

4:20 p.m.; and swing by Shesha Marvin, 4:30 to 5:50 p.m.

“Duets” will be performed at the Festival of Arts’ Forum Theater

and classes are on the festival grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road. For

Laguna Outreach’s art workshops

Laguna Outreach Community Arts “Art Escapes” workshop is starting

a new three-part watercolor class at 2 p.m. Feb. 11, 18 and 25.

“Making Watercolors Pop” will be taught by well-known artist and

exhibitor, Jacquie Moffett. The class is suitable for all artistic

levels. Cost is $30, including materials; class size limited. The
