Members of a Huntington Beach Brownie troop...

Members of a Huntington Beach Brownie troop and their friends

recently donated 40 handmade blankets to the Red Cross for tsunami

victims. After the children saw the photos of the devastation, they

discussed how they could help and decided that blankets would be an

appropriate donation. Children from local schools met with Kelly

Cason, leader of Brownie Troop No. 223, and made blankets from

supplies they had brought from home. The following children

participated in making the blankets: Dirk Cason, Devon Cason, Katie

Cason, Ariel Boden, Kiana Wilkins, Caroline Hopfensperger, Kathryn

Hopfensperger, Madelyn Hopfensperger, Scout Sable, Jessica Childers,

Justine Kowertz, Amy Boyer, Lauren Welch, Hannah Pigors, Sydney Ross,

Kimi Shlaudeman, Lauren Barrozo, Kaitlyn Chalabian, Leota Coyne,

Ashley Daymude, Jamie DuFault, Sophia LeFrancois, Madelline Martin,

Elyse Manzo, Reagan Moore, Caitlyn Nojiri, Caitlyn O’Connell, Maddie

Sandoval, Hannah Silver, Sarah Stanfield and Kelsey Silver.
