Rats double up on Dry Ice
Landon Milhone and Jason Austin each scored two goals and the Rink
Rats collected a victory in Campbell Division play by skating past
Dry Ice, 6-3, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington
Beach.
Austin’s two scores sandwiched back-to-back goals by Milhone, but
it was Adam Khouri’s unassisted goal in the first quarter that put
the Rink Raiders on the scoreboard.
Shane Williams, who also had two assists, closed out the Rink
Rats’ scoring with a goal off a Richie Bloch feed in the third
period.
Khouri also had an assist and keeper Joshua Fowler recorded 12
saves.
Harrison Eggert and Jason McKinnon each had a goal and assist and
Benjamin Jaeger had an assist for Dry Ice.
Ethan Higbee finished with 13 saves.
In other Campbell Division action:
Chiefs 4, Dyno-Mites 0
Sam Prizler came up with 11 saves and the Chiefs defense came up
with a shutout of the Dyno-Mites.
Evan Hess’ three goals led the way on offense and Cooper Wetzel
scored once.
Joseph Thielen had 15 saves for the Dyno-Mites.
Kings 3, Puck Heads 3
Neither team was able to shake the other, as the match ended in a
tie.
Jacob Rosser and Tanner Osterkamp scored goals, Osterkamp had an
assist and Tyler Carnival had 12 saves to lead the Kings.
Dylan Rodriguez posted a pair of goals, Matthew Chism scored once,
Alexander Taros and Sean Cullinane each had an assist and Alex McCabe
had 13 saves for the Puck Heads.
Ducks 2, Rink Rats 0
The Ducks got defensive and Cody Sizemore recorded 13 saves in the
win over the Rink Rats.
Andrew Huffman and William Huffman scored unassisted goals.
Cameron Platzman had 16 saves.
