The Pageant of the Masters held its annual casting call over a very

soggy weekend, Jan. 8 and 9, for this summer’s show, “On the Road --

A Crash Course in Art and Popular Culture.”

Despite the inclement weather and closing of Laguna Canyon Road at

times, 750 people attended.

For those not able to attend the casting call that would like to

volunteer, call (949) 494-3663 to set up an appointment.

This year an exceptionally large cast is needed, as well as

volunteers for makeup artists, wardrobe, headdress and other

backstage positions. No experience is required. The show will be

staged July 7 to Sept. 1. The Festival of Arts and Pageant of the

Masters is at 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
