House fire causes minor damage

On Saturday an electrical fire in a house in the 400 block of

Mountain Street caused $15,000 to $20,000 in damage, police said.

At 7:17 a.m. Laguna Beach Police received a call from a neighbor

who reported the fire. According to police, no one was home at the

time and there were no injuries.

Man escapes major injury in roll-over

A driver sustained only minor injuries when his car rolled over

after being rear-ended on Tuesday morning on El Toro Road near the

intersection of Laguna Canyon Road, police said.

Richard Mckee, 42, of Laguna Beach was slowing at a light at about

7 a.m. when his car was hit from behind by an Audi A4 driven by Eli

Eipper, 23, of Idaho, police said.

Both cars suffered major damage and Eipper was cited for driving

at an unsafe speed and without proof of insurance, according to

police.
