Helping those left in the wake of disaster
The Huntington Beach Independent went to Harbour View School and
asked fourth- and fifth-grade members of the student council: ‘Why do
you think it is important to help those impacted by the tsunami
disaster?’
“I think because the families that are in need really need our
help, and if we were in need, they would help us.”

“I think even the slightest bit of money can help ... even four or
five dollars can buy water or something over there.”
BRETT URABE, 11
Huntington Beach
“I think donating a little money will help because that money can
save lives and make a child happier.”
AUSTIN BAKER, 10

“They need that money a lot after the disaster.”

“I think it’s important ... either way, even if everyone in the
school only donated a dollar, it would still be a lot of money.”
