Leadership group seeks nominations for awards

Leadership Tomorrow, a group affiliated with the Newport Beach and

Costa Mesa chambers of commerce, is seeking nominations for two

community service awards it will present next month.

The first, for excellence in leadership, will be presented to a

person or people who have been affiliated with Leadership Tomorrow

and “best represent the characteristics of leadership for the past

year,” said the group’s chairman, Tim Brown.

The second award will be presented to people who show leadership

qualities regardless of having worked with the group in the past.

Nominations should include the characteristics, accomplishments

and actions that make the people deserving of the award, Brown said.

Nominations are due by Jan. 11 and can be sent to Jeff Parker,

executive director of Leadership Tomorrow at (949) 729-4408 or at

[email protected].

The group’s annual leadership awards dinner will be held Feb. 24

at the Center Club.

Leadership Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization, offering an

educational program in civic awareness and leadership. It is designed

to enable participants to become more involved in their community and

focuses on Newport, Costa Mesa and Irvine.
