“Survivors,” a workshop at the environmental Nature Center, will
teach students to learn to live like early Native Americans by using
flint rocks, wood, clay, bark, palm leaves, deer antlers and shells.
The 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. workshop will run through Dec. 31 at the
Environmental Nature Center, 1601 16th St., Newport Beach. The cost

John D. Hensley’s address at the annual Installation Dinner of the
