Making the turn

Time to put any negative thoughts circulating about the front nine of

the Newport-Mesa Dream Round to bed as the turn has finally come of

this 18-hole outing.

It is a new nine, a fantasy nine, the best back nine, we in the

Daily Pilot sports department feel, that takes into account all 10

courses in this newspaper’s coverage area.

A variety of terrains and areas are represented with today’s

selections that include hole 10 at Shady Canyon Golf Club in Irvine

followed by stops at the Ocean North and Ocean South courses at

Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Coast.
