Coaches stage camp

Newport Harbor High baseball coach Joel Desguin and Orange Coast

College head man John Altobelli are presenting a winter baseball camp

at Mariners Park in Newport Beach.

The camp, for players ages 5-14, runs Mondaythrough Fridayfrom 9

a.m. to noon.

Campers will receive instruction in throwing, catching and

hitting, as well as strategies of the game.

Snacks will be provided, but campers are asked to bring their own

ample supply of water.

The fees are $125 for Newport Harbor Baseball Association members

and $140 for nonmembers. Campers will receive T-shirts and prizes.

The Costa Mesa National Little League will hold sign-ups for the

2005 baseball season Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at TeWinkle

Middle School.
