Get ready for some snow -- tons of it
The 16th annual Winter Wonderland will be at a new location this
year.
Bonita Canyon Creek Park, 3010 La Vida, at the corner of La Vida
and University Drive, will host the event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. Saturday.
Organizers say there will be 35 tons of snow this year. Creating
winter crafts, carnival games and snow sliding are some of the
activities planned for the family event.
The event is being organized by the city of Newport Beach
Recreation and Senior Services Department and is sponsored in part by
Newport Harbor Elks Club.

Snowy Saturday options aplenty
The annual Holiday Snow Hill will be from 9 a.m. until noon
Saturday at Balearic Community Center, 1975 Balearic Drive.
The event is free.
Officials say they are bringing in 60 tons of snow for the event.
Along with the snow play, hayrides and other fun activities, Santa
Claus will make a special visit to the event in a helicopter at
around 10:30 a.m.
The event is cosponsored by the city of Costa Mesa and Torelli
Realty.
