Compound Fractures wins pair

Compound Fractures won two games during the week to stay atop the
Thursday League standings in the city’s Men’s 16 Slow Pitch Softball
League standings.
Team Viagra continues to lead the Tuesday League race despite
being held to a 13-13 tie with Sandpiper.
Thursday League
Compound Fractures 7, Hamstrings 6
Arlen Aires, Steve Hurst and Jimmy Quintana each had two singles
and Mike Carter delivered a triple to lead Compound Fractures.
Alex Carter led the South Laguna Hamstrings with a three-run home
run, single and walk.
Compound Fractures 7, Llamas 6
Mike Carter sent two runs home with a first inning double and
Steve Hurst and Russ Swarts each hit two-RBI doubles during a
five-run second inning for the Compound Fractures.
The Llamas’ Jonathan Cohen hit a first inning solo home run.
Arborists 7, Llamas 1
A.J. Voto hit a pair of solo homers and singled to power the
Arborists.
Noel Puffer’s two singles paced the Llamas.
Arborists 6, Puswatrkylegs 5
Marco Johnson led all Arborist hitters with a solo home run and
single.
John Reynard belted a three-run home run and singled for the
Puswatrkylegs.
Hamstrings 11, Arbitech 9
Clayton Snyder’s prolific offensive performance included three
home runs in three plate appearances and Alex Carter, Mark Christy
and Rob Malone each added a home run for the South Laguna Hamstrings.
Arbitech’s Ryan Neptune nearly hit the cycle with a home run,
double and single, and Mike Stanley homered and singled twice.
Puswatrkylegs 9, Arbitech 4
John Reynard had another big game for the Puswatrkylegs with two
home runs and two singles -- good for four RBIs.
Ryan Bundy and Donnie Graham each singled twice for Arbitech.

Tuesday League
Sandpiper 13, Team Viagra 13
The tie saw the two teams combine for 29 hits -- with Sandpiper
hitters racking up 20 of them.
Mickey Allen homered twice, singled twice and had two RBIs in four
at-bats, Dave Summerville hit a homer, double and single in three
at-bats, Aidin Cunningham doubled twice and singled and Mike McCleare
doubled and singled twice to lead Sandpiper.
Greg Shiu recorded a home run, double and two singles, Nate
Pivaroff homered, doubled and singled and Cam Hamil lined three
singles for Team Viagra.
Ganahl Lumber 6, Good, Bad & Ugly 5
Bob Bonn connected on a game-winning home run in the bottom of the
final inning to lift Ganahl Lumber to victory and possession of
second-place in the standings.
Mark Judy added a double and single and Greg Wallace had two
singles for the winners.
Garrick Gallordo singled three times and Fred Mastin and Robert
Stewart each had a pair of singles for Good, Bad & Ugly.
Other scores:
C-Dawgs was awarded a forfeit, 7-0 victory over league favorite
