Sailors sweep past Woodbridge

The Newport Harbor High frosh/soph girls volleyball team defeated

Woodbridge, 25-7, 25-16, Tuesday at Woodbridge.

Allison Stockton and Kelly Thompson both had four kills to lead

the Sailors.

Danielle Fitzsimons had six aces, while McKenzie Feitler added

four aces.

Arielle Little had two kills, aided by the setting of Allison

Pitts.

Girls volleyball

Junior varsity

The Newport Harbor High junior varsity girls volleyball team

defeated Foothill, 18-25, 27-25, 15-4, Thursday at Newport.

Newport Harbor moved into a tie for first in the Sea View League

with Foothill after the victory.

Despite a loss in the first game due to numerous unforced errors,

the Sailors battled back to win the next two games.

The Sailors had consistent play from Hallie Mitchell, Casidy

Gaynor, Blair Tarnutzer and Dailey Wiese.

Boys water polo

Frosh/soph

The Corona del Mar frosh/soph boys water polo team defeated

Tesoro, 11-3, Wednesday at CdM.

Greg Sanford had three goals and Trevor Gladvich had two to lead

the Sea Kings.

The Corona del Mar frosh/soph boys water polo team defeated San

Clemente, 8-4, Friday. Ryan Hultman, Nick Jones and Jeff Lee all had

two goals to lead the Sea Kings.
