EDITOR’S NOTE: Three candidates are vying for two seats on the Laguna

Beach Unified School District. The Coastline Pilot talked to El

Hathaway, Jan Vickers and Mark Itnyre about who they are, and asked

questions about the district and what they would bring to the job.

The candidates answered the following questions:

1. What are the biggest issues facing the district?

2. Why should you be re-elected/elected?

3. What programs are in place that enhance the students’ learning

experience?

4. Should the district have handled MTV’s request to film on

campus and the baseball fence issue differently? If so, how?
