Tsunami storms Squidwards

Led by the scoring of Cameron Davis, the Blue Tsunami knocked off the

Squidwards 2-1, Saturday in boys under-10 play.

Davis was assisted by Andrew Francini, and the team as a whole

played solid defense. Patrick Angelo, Ryan Greenwald, Nick Becker and

Jack Flanigan led the defensive charge, while Max Premer and Andrew

Minkus sparked the offense.

* Tidal Waves 8, Newport United 0

Max Condon led the scoring for the Tidal Waves with three goals in

the boys under-10 rout of Newport United.

The first goal of the game was scored by Eli Kiani off an assist

from Kevin Thomsen.

Shane Silver and Areya Aresh each added two more goals for the

Waves as the game progressed. In goal for the Waves were Cole Martin,

Thomsen and Timmy Strader.

The defense was led by Jonathan Mayer and Nick Carter.

In boys under-14 play:

* Blue Titans 4, Godzillas 3

After taking the lead 3-0 in the first half, the Godzillas came

back to tie the score in the second half. But Titans’ Ori Tabak

quickly fired back to in the game with less than three minutes left.

The Titans built their lead in the first half on a header shot by

Sky Sterns off a corner kick from Camden Nicholson. Then Kevin Wang

added with a long goal from outside the 18-yard marker.

Offensive pressure was put on by Zack Martin, Andrew Iverson and

Eric Hansen, while the defense was led by Anthony Francisco, Alex

Merline, David Broekelschen, Michael Merline, Connor Gaughan, Ryan

Casanova, Scott Hanson and Aria Mohammadi.
