Sea Kings trim Titans

Sophomore Jonna Kim shot 1-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors for

the first time this season, helping lead the Corona del Mar High

girls golf team to a 212-217 Pacific Coast League victory over Tesoro

at the San Juan Hills Country Club Tuesday.

Teammate Katie Albright followed Kim with a 39 while Caitlin

McDonald (44), Katie McKitterick (45), Maggie Nelson (47) scored for

CdM (8-1, 4-0 in league).

Tesoro fell to 6-4, 1-4.

The Sea Kings host Laguna Beach at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Newport

Beach Country Club.

Eagles maintain pace

* Bridget Gleason shot a 5-over-par 36 to lead the Estancia High

girls golf team to a 218-277 Golden West League victory over

Westminster Tuesday at the David L. Baker Memorial Golf Course in

Fountain Valley.

Lina You shot 37 while teammates Lauren Cushing (47), Lauren

Donner (48) and Josie Flores (50) all contributed on the par-31

layout for the Eagles (6-4, 6-2 in league), who sit in third place in

league behind second-place Sage Hill (8-1) and undefeated St.

Margaret’s.

Westminster fell to 0-8 in league.

Sage Hill wins fourth consecutive match

* Justine Chen shot a 46 to earn medalist honors and help lead the

Sage Hill School girls golf team to its fourth straight win following

a 259-272 Golden West League victory over Ocean View at Meadowlark

Golf Club in Huntington Beach Tuesday.

Natalie Kraft carded a 50 while teammates Emma Koh (52), Madison

Gillis (53) and Kimberly Venditozzi (58) scored for the Lightning

(8-2, 8-1 in league), who have recorded the most wins in school

history. Last year’s squad won six, the prior record.
