The Orange County Children’s Book Festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to

Sen. Dick Ackerman will speak at an Orange County Citizens Against

Lawsuit Abuse luncheon, at 11:30 a.m. at The Pacific Club, 4110

MacArthur Blvd., Newport Beach. Ackerman will discuss the recent

legislative session in Sacramento, events leading up to the November

election and ballot initiatives, including Proposition 64.

A free six-week class for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer

and for others who want to learn more about the disease will be held
