Voting’s about to
take off at airport
This month, you’ll be able to use John Wayne Airport not just to
travel, but to vote.
The Orange County Registrar of Voters announced Thursday that the
airport will become the first in the country to be used as a polling
place when early voting begins there Tuesday.
Voters already registered can vote at stations in the airport’s
north and south terminals, which will be staffed from 6 a.m. to 10
p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Early voting will be available from Tuesday to Oct. 29 at the
airport and the Harbor Boulevard Albertsons in Costa Mesa, and from
Tuesday to Oct. 22 at Costa Mesa City Hall, said Brett Rowley,
spokesman for the Orange County Registrar of Voters.
A total of 27 places in Orange County will offer early voting, and
a “votemobile” will visit 26 other locations around the county
throughout October, he said. For more information on early voting
locations, visit https://www.ocgov.com/election.
