ON THE AGENDA

Here are a few of the issues the council will consider Tuesday.

PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY

The council will announce a vacancy on the Planning Commission

because of former commissioner Leslie Daigle’s appointment to the

City Council last week. The city will accept applications until 4

p.m. on Oct. 14.

Mayor Tod Ridgeway will appoint three council members to serve on

an ad hoc appointments committee. This committee will review the

applications and conduct interviews of the applicants.

The committee will nominate two applicants for the full council’s

approval on Oct. 26 with the final appointment scheduled for Nov. 9.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council will start the process of finding a replacement for

Daigle.

FILLING ADAMS’ SPOTS

The council will consider appointing council members to the

committees that former Councilman Gary Adams sat on. Adams resigned

in September and was replaced by Daigle.

These committees are: the website-review ad hoc committee; the

reeways confluence policy committee; the city centennial 2006

committee; and Newport Beach/Irvine borders committee.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council is expected to approve Ridgeway’s appointments.
