Newport Beach street work begins Monday
The city of Newport Beach Public Works Department will close lanes
on Jamboree Road between Ford Road and Bison Avenue starting Monday
until Sept. 3 to make street improvements.
The lane closures are expected to restrict traffic to one lane at
times during nonpeak traffic hours. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. Multiple-lane closures will be allowed only between 9 a.m.
and 3 p.m. A single-lane closure in either direction may occur at any
time.
City officials recommend that the public consider using
alternative routes and avoid Jamboree Road whenever possible.
Information signs and message boards have been installed on Jamboree
Road and East Coast Highway, suggesting the use of alternate routes,
including San Joaquin Hills Road and MacArthur Boulevard.
For more information, call the Public Works Department Hotline at
(949) 644-3320.
