Harold E. and June Hunt
Harold E. and June Hunt celebrated 50 years of marriage June 26 at
“The Gathering Place” at Vanguard University’s Newport-Mesa Christian
Center in Costa Mesa. They met there 54 years ago.
The couple’s son-in-law, Mike Ellis, emceed the event, and friends
and family offered samplings of memories from time spent with them.
Harold and June have lived in Costa Mesa for more than 50 years
and have five children: Cindy Ellis, D’lorah Hunt, Heather Myers,
Loren Hunt and David Hunt. All five children and 12 of their 13
grandchildren attended the event. The other granddaughter is serving
in Iraq.
Since Harold’s retirement from Auto-Graphics in 1998, the couple continues to stay active with family and friends, travel, church,
hobbies and volunteer activities.
Boice-Goodman
Nicole Christine Boice of Newport Beach and Scott William Goodman
of Huntington Beach exchanged wedding vows on June 27 at Christ
Church by the Sea United Methodist in Newport Beach.
The bride is the daughter of Walter and Carol Boice of Newport
Beach.
The maid of honor was Alicia Boice, the bride’s sister, while the
flower girl was Hannah Wolf, the bride’s cousin.
The bridegroom is the son of William and Helene Goodman of
Huntington Beach.
The best man was John Streips, the groom’s brother-in-law, and the
ring bearer was Spencer Streips, the groom’s nephew.
A reception for 220 guests was held at Newport Harbor Yacht Club.
The couple plans to honeymoon to Kauai, Hawaii, and plans to live in
Huntington Beach.
Gerstenbacher-Chubb
Christina Gerstenbacher of Turnersville, N.J., and Tedd Chubb of
Corona Del Mar exchanged wedding vows July 10 at The Hacienda in
Santa Ana.
The bride is the daughter of Alfred and Regina Gerstenbacher of
Turnersville, N.J.
The maid of honor was Dana Gerstenbacher. The bridesmaids were
Vaishalee Mehta, Karin Polischuk and Anila Tai.
The bridegroom is the son of Larry and Susan Chubb of Corona Del
Mar. The best man was Israel Aceves. Ushers included Arturo Aceves,
Gabriel Romero and Anthony Gerstenbacher.
A reception was also held at The Hacienda with 100 guests in
attendance.
The couple’s honeymoon was spent in Canada, and they plan to live
in Santa Ana.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Southern California
School of Business. The groom works in the wholesale annuities
division of Pacific Life of Newport Beach.
