City tennis tournament set
One of Orange County’s longest-running tennis tournaments comes to
Surf City in August when the 43rd annual Huntington Beach Open will
be held over two weekends.
The tournament will run the consecutive weekends of Aug. 21-22 and
Aug. 28-29.
Tournament play will be held in men’s and women’s singles and
doubles, mixed doubles, open and open senior men’s divisions, with
player ratings between 3.5 and 5.0.
Tournament applications are available at the Pacific Sands Cabana
Club, at 8141 Atlanta Ave. in Huntington Beach, or by registering
online at https://www.usta.com (tournament ID No. 651755004).

SeaCliff to host golf tournament
SeaCliff Country Club will host the Huntington Beach Chamber of
Commerce’s 28th annual Golf Tournament Aug. 23.
Registration begins the day of the event at 9 a.m., and a shotgun
start will follow at 11 a.m.
The player package includes green fees, cart, golf shirt,
refreshments, lunch and dinner, flight prizes, mulligans, putting and
longest and most accurate drive contests. A raffle and special par-3,
close-to-the-pin contests also are available.
The cost is $900 per foursome if registered before Aug. 6. After
that, the cost is $940 per foursome. For more information, call (714)
