Burgess-Oyler
John and Shauna Oyler of Newport Beach have announced the
engagement of their son, Tennyson Silver Oyler of Newport Beach, to
Christy Dawn Burgess of Huntington Beach.
The bride-elect, daughter of Gary and Monja Burgess of Snowflake,
Ariz., graduated from Snowflake High School and Brigham Young
University.
The future bridegroom graduated from Newport Harbor High School
and Brigham Young University.
An Aug. 7 wedding is planned for the Los Angeles Temple of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ross-Andrews
Carolyn Jean Ross of Corona Del Mar and Robert Scott Andrews of
Newport Beach exchanged vows at Community Church, Congregational in
Corona Del Mar on May 8.
The bride is the daughter of Gene and Carolyn Ross of Newport
Beach. She wore a strapless ivory gown with a lace bodice detailed in
crystal beads and a silk A-line skirt with a chapel-length train.
The matron of honor was Erin Dickerson. The bridesmaids were Molly
Deneher, Kimi Lenertz, Krista Potvin, Sherry Rundell, Shannon Simar,
Betsy Denham and Susie Peck.
The bridegroom is the son of Bruce Andrews of Corona Del Mar and
Maureen Andrews of Newport Beach. The best man was his brother,
Michael Andrews. The ushers were Marc Barton, Dave Clarke, Ryan
Eastman, Griff Hoover, Amin Mirhadi, Chuck Denham and Peter Peck.
The reception was held at Newport Harbor Yacht Club, with 210
guests in attendance.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii, stopping at The Lodge on Lanai
and the Kapalua Bay Resort on Maui. They plan to live in Corona Del
Mar.
The bride is employed as an account executive at TIBCO Software,
Inc., where she has worked for eight years. The groom is an associate
at the law firm of Cooksey, Toolen, Gage, Duffy and Woog in Costa
Mesa.
