Get with it, the drunk driving has to stop

JAMES PRIBRAM

What truly amazes me about this town is how many DUI arrests are made

each week.

What’s even more disturbing is the traffic, which is beginning to

border on insanity depending on which direction you are headed and

what time of day it is. I would use the term “it kills me” if it

wasn’t for the fact that it does kill people.

Some act as though it is just regular business to drink and then

drive.

For goodness sakes, take a taxi, the free tram, a bus, something,

back to where you came from before you kill someone.

Week after week I read the police blotter, and it is incredible

how many people are listed for DUI with a significant portion of

those being from out of town.

It seems to me that people have less and less respect, not only

for our laws but for one another. I don’t know about you, but I am

sick of reading about these people from out of town starting fights

here and driving around in our town drunk.

Anyone for that matter, it doesn’t matter where you are from,

driving drunk and getting in fights is not cool. No matter what

someone may tell you.

Life’s short. Enjoy it.

Peace.
