Parada hits key basket for Kings

Former UC Irvine center Adam Parada hit a key basket with under 10

seconds remaining to help the Sacramento Kings defeat the Los Angeles

Lakers, 91-86, in the Summer Pro League at the Long Beach Pyramid

Tuesday.

Parada’s 18-footer put the Kings up, 89-86, and teammate Kevin

Martin hit a pair of free throws with .6 left for the final margin.

Parada scored 12 points in 32-plus minutes, hitting 5 of 7 from

the field and adding four rebounds and two assists.

In the Kings’ 91-80 loss to Dallas on Saturday, Parada scored 12

points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He was 6 of 9 from the field in 26

minutes of action. The Kings face San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
