Huntington Beach student Andrew Thomas Bingham graduated from the
Hill School, a private prep school in Pottstown, Pa. Hill was honored
with the school’s Team of 1962 Lacrosse Cup for his play and
inspirational spirit on the team as well as the U.S. Naval Academy
Certificate of Accomplishment ... Lauren D. Freeman, of Huntington
Beach, graduated with honors from Boston University with a bachelor’s
degree in film and television. She was one of 5,358 students to
graduate from the university ... Laura Aydelotte graduated with
honors from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in English and
renaissance studies. She was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She
graduated in 2000 from Huntington Beach High School and plans to

Edison High School student Gary M. Chou was one of 50 Southern
California students given a $1,000 scholarship from Ronald McDonald
House Charities and the Asian Pacific American Students Increasing
Achievement program. The scholarships were awarded to students in the
Asian-American community who were recognized for their academic
achievements, community service and leadership abilities. Gary served
as a student teacher for the Model United Nations program and is
active with local libraries and the Pao Fa temple. He selected the
Edison High School ceramics program to receive a $500 honorarium ...
Jordyn Andrews of Huntington Beach has been selected to attend the
Junior National Student Leadership Conference. Jordyn will join about
1,000 middle school students in Washington, D.C. to study leadership
skills in workshops, and in the past, notable government leaders have
attended as guest speakers.
