A 100-year History of Huntington Beach, an exhibit that includes

photographs, artifacts and documents reflecting the growth of

Huntington Beach in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the

Fourth of July Parade, will take place at the Huntington Beach Art

Center, 538 Main St. It will take place from noon to 6 p.m. and

The Pier Plaza Art A-Faire,

held at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier,

SATURDAY

The second annual Huntington Beach Wahine Sol Surf Classic for

women and girls will take place on the beach across from Taco Bell,

at Pacific Coast Highway and 9th Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This

event will include long and short board categories for all different

age groups. The event includes a free T-shirt and goody bag with

registration, plus trophies and prizes in all categories. The public

is invited to attend and watch. Tickets are $43 a person.

Children must wear tennis shoes and be prepared to get dirty. This

experience is suitable for kids six to twelve years old. Adult

Jazz Series will present a concert series sponsored by BBJazz

Productions will bring the finest in contemporary jazz to the city.

Proceeds benefit children with autism. This event will take place at
