scientist, was recently reappointed by NASA’s National Space

Biomedical Research Institute as the leader of the Muscle Alterations

and Atrophy Team. The team is responsible for research in muscle

atrophy in space and how to prevent it. Baldwin will administer $2.5

million in annual funding ... Kara Houck, a member of Girl Scout’s

Newport Harbor Three Troop 1343, Maui Rah Nova in Newport Beach, was

awarded the Girl Scout’s Gold Award, which is the highest honor a

Girl Scout can achieve. Houck was one of only 88 Orange County girls
