The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The
selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree.
Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable lunch salad with Yoplait fruit yogurt or two soft tacos
with lettuce, salsa and cheese, Minute Maid frozen 100% fruit juice bar, choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable lunch salad or chicken nuggets, jicama sticks with ranch
dip, diced mixed fruit, reduced fat Cheetos and choice of milk.
THURSDAY
*Munchable lunch salad or sloppy Joe on a bun, crisp green salad
with ranch, diced pears, fresh baked peanut butter cookie and choice
of milk.
FRIDAY
Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or
pepperoni hot pocket, baby carrots with ranch dip, Sun Maid raisins
and choice of milk.
MONDAY
*Munchable lunch salad or Dog-Gone Chicken Sandwich, celery sticks
with peanut butter diced mixed fruit and choice of milk.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts. (*peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
