Two-hundred kittens are now in “The Network,” from newborns to 10
weeks. We have added “Kitten Tuesdays” to our adoption schedule, so
we can better handle the weekend crowds wanting to adopt kittens. For
even more convenience, some kittens are available to be seen in the
caregiver’s homes. Phone numbers are listed on our kitten nursery
page on www.animalnetwork.org.
Most of our caregivers are local families who value educating
their children in taking responsibility for caring for animals.
Eleven-year-old Alyssa helped bottle-feed the pictured 7-week-old
tabby and white kitten named Bambi. She liked carrying her like a
baby and dressed her up in doll clothes for this cute picture.
The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal
organization linking people and pets through community action. See
other animals available for adoption at https://www.animalnetwork.org,
or stop by Russo’s pet store at Fashion Island between noon and 4
p.m. on weekends. Information: (949) 759-3646, or write to the
Community Animal Network at P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658.
