Bombers edge Black Attack
The Big Bad Blue Bombers defeated the Black Attack, 6-5, to win the
Pacific Coast Girls Fastpitch Softball under-8 championship.
Pitchers Meredith Monke and Caroline Graham held off the Black
Attack while Kaylah Vaca, Louisa Dodge, Nicole Ley and Shelby Brown
all had hits to jump-start the offense.
Taryn Beaufort, Emma Conroy, Kenzie Ludes, Hanna Stowell and
Marissa Walker and catcher Ariana Gonzalez all contributed to the
victory.

* Pink Panthers 9, Blue Patriots 6:
The Pink Panthers held off a late rally to win their playoff
opener May 15. Pitchers Carolyn Smith and Abigail Waring subdued the
Patriots’ bats. Meredith Kline knocked in the go-ahead run with two
outs for the Panthers. Twins Erica and Genevieve Weed contributed at
the plate while Lily Chavis, Jacqueline Horwitz and Emilie Jajonie
each made strong defensive plays.
* Pink Panthers 8, Golden Lightning Bolts 6:
The Pink Panthers pitching team tandem of Taryn Maister and Smith
cooled the bats of the Golden Lightning Bolts in a game May 12.
Horwitz got on safely with two outs to keep an inning alive while
Chavis made defensive stops at second.
Twins Erica and Genevieve Weed sealed the defense for the
Panthers, getting help from Jajonie, Waring and Kline.
