Code Red stays in first

Rene Mycorn stole home in the last inning on May 1 to keep Code Red
in first place in Pacific Coast Girls Fastpitch Softball 12-and-under
division with a 5-4 win over the Krush.
Mycorn also had a home run and a triple. Helen Ray also helped out
with the offense.
Elizabeth Cramer, Caila Chirichigno, Jackie Graham, Hanalynn Hunt,
Maddy Mains, Kadee Malone, Brittany Martinez and Hannah Gullick
provided defensive support for pitchers Mycorn, who struck out three
batters over three innings, and Jenny McCarthy.

* Code Red 6, Black Magic 3:
Mycorn and Malone hit home runs for Code Red April 30, and
Martinez, Hunt, Chirichigno and McCarthy collected hits.
Cramer finished with a double and two RBIs.
Mycorn struck out the first three batters in the game to set the
tempo for the Code Red defense.
Graham had three strikeouts in the second, McCarthy had two
strikeouts in two innings and Chirichigno struck out one in her
scoreless inning of work.
