Laguna slips to 7th place
in boys’ volleyball poll
Laguna Beach High’s boys’ volleyball team, ranked second in the
CIF-Southern Section Division II poll throughout most of the season,
slipped to No. 5 in the latest poll.
The rankings were released by the Southern Section office on
Tuesday.
Once again, Laguna was one of three Pacific Coast League teams
found in the top 10 rankings.
Corona del Mar, which defeated the Breakers on April 22, was
ranked fourth.
Northwood was the third PCL team to be ranked and came in at No.
7.
The Division II rankings: 1. Valencia/Valencia; 2. Santa Barbara;
3. Santa Ynez; 4. Corona del Mar; 5. Laguna Beach; 6. San Luis
Obispo; 7. Northwood; 8. Ventura; 9. Dos Pueblos; 10. Crescenta
Valley.
Tennis tournament
entry deadline is today
Entries for the 47th annual city of Laguna Beach Tennis Tournament
will be taken through today. Competition will take place in the
following divisions: Mens, Womens, Singles, Doubles, Mixed and 3.5
through Open.
Future tournament dates include May 15-16 and May 22-23.
