Minor A Yankees rally past Mariners

The Costa Mesa Little League Minor A Yankees defeated the Mariners,
10-6, in recent seesaw battle cut short due to darkness.
The Yankees scored six runs in the fourth inning, capped by Dirk
Hill stealing home to give the team a come-from-behind victory.
The Yanks took a 4-0 advantage when Jordan Myers scored on a bunt
by Ryan Weber. Evan Castroverde hit a two-run single in the second
inning and Mikey Samuelson belted a solo home run in the third.
Brooks Watkins scored twice and had a hit, and Jake Comer had a
nice defensive day at second base to contribute to the Yankees’
victory.

* Gold Crush 12, Battitude 15:
Kristen Rohan hit a game-winning three-run home run for Battitude
in the final at-bat, scoring Victoria Griffen and Kassie Stratton.
Mary Yeager had three singles and two RBIs for Battitude and
Hattie Marshall collected two hits for Gold Crush.
Shannon Wagner, Kassie Stratton and Natalie Barbaresi led
Battitude in pitching and Shenequa Watts and Madison Camarillo were
their counterparts with the Gold Crush.
