Residents give thoughts on improving freeway
The Orange County Transportation Authority will host a public open
house tonight to seek input on options for improving the San Diego
Freeway corridor.
The available options were developed based on public comments
received since last fall and a technical analysis of the current and
projected transportation situations in the corridor.
The authority is asking residents, commuters and community leaders
to review the options and provide comments and suggestions. Possible
improvements being considered include ways to increase freeway and
local street capacity, relieve bottlenecks, improve on- and off-ramps
and improve freeway crossings.
The open house is part of a public outreach for a study of the
corridor, local streets and transit between the Corona del Mar
Freeway in Costa Mesa and the San Gabriel River Freeway at the Los
Angeles County line.
The open house will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fountain
Valley Library, 17635 Los Alamos. For more information, call (714)
560-5334.
