The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served
this week:
TODAY
Munchable lunch salad with Dannon fruit yogurt or chicken tenders
with ketchup, zucchini sticks with ranch dip, diced mixed fruit,
Reduced Fat Cheetos and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable lunch salad or Galaxy cheese pizza, crisp green salad
with ranch, Minute Maid Frozen 100% Fruit Juice Bar and choice of
milk.
THURSDAY
Oriental chicken salad with fresh baked whole grain roll or Oscar
Meyer all beef hot dog on a bun, potato wedges, Sun Maid Raisins and
choice of milk.
FRIDAY
*Munchable lunch salad or two soft tacos (ground turkey) lettuce,
salsa and cheese, apricots, chocolate animal crackers and choice of
milk.
MONDAY
Munchable lunch salad or chicken patty sandwich on a bun, veggie
sticks with ranch dip, diced pears and choice of milk.
The Munchable lunch salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts.
(*peanut butter on selected days)
Papa John’s pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit
and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.
MONDAY
College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.
TUESDAY
Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.
WEDNESDAY
Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.
THURSDAY
Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.
FRIDAY
Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
